Write a feature article about Travel, great places to go to in the Essay
Write a feature article about Travel, great places to go to in the world, Muslim woman in different countries, comparing different cultures to Saudi - Essay Example Today, global economic organisations and institutions have come up with several laws and regulations that have made the cross-border transfer of people from one place to another, which used to be very difficult in the time past very easy and simple now. Because of this, a lot more people are now able to travel easily to other places regardless of cultural or religious differences. Having established the point that cross-border traveling has now been made simple, the next aspect of discussion to look at is the choice of place to visit. Without any doubt, there are several excellent places a person may choose to visit for whatever leisured intentions the person may have. Most of these places are major cities of the world and they offer almost everything that makes a personââ¬â¢s stay away from home a memorable one. Talk of natural land sites, sports events and infrastructure, education and academic excellence, cultural integration, economic enhancement, historical symbolism, architectural innovations and technological advancements: there are countless number of cities to visit to have a feel of all these. Happily, each continent in this world can boast of a number of cities and countries that will readily give a person all of such travel expectations. The freedom to travel and abundance of choice notwithstanding, there are a number of factors that really aff ect the conduct of a particular traveller to and from different places of the world. One of such factors is religious and moral differences. A typical case can be given with Muslim women who may want to travel to some of the worldââ¬â¢s most renowned destination. Making Europe the first point of call, one place that cannot be left out as an exquisite destination is Madrid. Sabina (2011) notes that ââ¬Ëââ¬â¢the city of Madrid is located in the Community of Madrid (La Comunidad de Madrid). à The Community of Madrid is located almost exactly in the centre of Spain.ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ This is a

McDonalds vs. Burger King :: Business Management Studies Essays
McDonald's vs. Burger King In diagnosing the McDonald's organization, the first issue we will examine is their company goals. McDonald's has a goal of one hundred percent total customer satisfaction. However, they do realize that this goal is not always attainable. Therefore, if for any reason they do not meet that goal, they will do whatever it takes to correct their mistake. McDonald's has a second company goal that sets them apart from most of their competitors. McDonald's was founded on the principle of giving back to the community, and that remains one of their primary goals today. Through their charities, Ronald McDonald's House and Ronald McDonald's Children's Charities, McDonald's has pumped millions of dollars back into the community over the years. McDonald's customer service policy is laid out in the McDonald's Guarantee. The McDonald's Guarantee states, Your food will be hot. Your service will be fast and friendly. ! And your drive-thru orders will be double-checked right. If you're not satisfied, we'll make it right. Or your next meal is on us. Guaranteed. The customer service procedures of McDonald's are centered on focusing on one customer at a time. They are more concerned with the quality of the service tha the speed of the service. Employees usually take only one order at a time. They then prepare that order while the customers wait. After the present customer is satisfied, they move on to the next customer. This procedure allows great accuracy and quality, but lacks speed. McDonald's climate was not very appealing. Everything appeared to be focused around the business instead of the customers. Employees were working at a rapid pace, but it seemed like they had no time for customers. They acted as if it was a burden for them to stop and answer a simple question or refill a drink. The atmosphere was also very noisy. There was constant beeping, banging, and yelling coming from the ! service area. They did not provide a pleasant ambiance for cus! tomers to dine in. McDonald's communication and leadership were also lacking. The only communication between employees and customers was the placement of orders. The employees provided no feedback in terms of double-checking orders or communicating any delays that might occur. Communication between employees consisted of loud yelling throughout the kitchen. In terms of leadership, we did not see a manager present during our entire visit. Diagnosing Burger King was a little more difficult because they do not provide customers with literature (pamphlets) communicating goals and policies, as McDonald's does. However, Burger King's goals seemed quite clear.

Written by Joseph Gulino A childââ¬â¢s readiness for formal education should not be determined solely by a calendar date and a simple skills test. ââ¬Å"I just try to pull them through! â⬠said the kindergarten teacher when I observed that six of the children in her class of 21 did not seem ready for kindergarten. It was December 1999, I was new to the school, and I was concerned about some behaviors the kindergartners were exhibiting, such as inability to focus or sit still for more than a few minutes, lack of knowledge of letters and numbers, andââ¬âmost of allââ¬âthe desire to play rather than learn. As I got to know the students in grades 1 through 8, my concerns heightened. There were five to 15 children in each grade who were either struggling or just not interested in learning. What troubled me most, however, was the lack of a formal readiness testing process as a criterion for kindergarten entry. There also was no process to inform parents regarding school readiness issues, and no organized counseling strategies to assist parents of children who were not ready for formal school experiences. School accountability and student achievement are topics of paramount significance today. But I believe it is unfair to place accountability for student achievement on education systems that not only are financially strapped but are also hindered by current enrollment practices that set up students and schools for failure. That is why it is imperative for educational leaders and legislators to revamp the early years of formal schooling by designing, implementing, and assessing school enrollment practices and procedures founded on sound research.

Negative Health Effects of Red Meat
It has been known for a while that theà saturated animal fatà in red meat contributes to heart disease and atherosclerosis. Recent research also shows red meat is thought to increase the risks of rheumatoid arthritis and endometriosis.à There is good evidence that eating red meat may be a probable cause of colorectal cancer. Processed red meat, like cured and smoked meat, has recently been declared carcinogenic, with strong scientific evidence linking it to cancer. Red Meat: The Good and Bad Meanwhile, according to the American Dieteticà Association, vegetarian diets can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease, colon cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes, kidney disease, hypertension, obesity, and other debilitating medical conditions. While red meat is a key source of protein and vitamin B12 in North American diets, nutritionists explain that properly planned meat-free diets easily provide these important nutrients. In fact, most people probably do not need to eat as much protein as they think they do. Daily protein requirements are relatively modest, and much of it can be found in legumes, nuts, and other foods. Reducing your intake of red meat is also justifiable for environmental reasons. Raising cattle requires a lot of resources, including water, and cows produce a significant amount of greenhouse gases. For some, an alternative could be the consumption of game meat like venison. It is very lean, low in saturated fat, and does not have the negative land use and water consumption issues associated with cattle. Venison can be kept healthiest by using lead-free ammunition. Population Impact of the Affordable Care Act - 1534 Words
Population Impact of the Affordable Care Act on North Carolinaââ¬â¢s Uninsured In 2010 the American government passed new health care legislation, called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), in order to reform the United States health care system. This health care reform opens the door for some Americans who have never been eligible for affordable health care insurance to obtain it beginning in 2014 (Sparer, 2011). All the states will enact this legislation but some will limit the provision provided to their citizens (Kaiser Commission, 2013). North Carolina is one of the states that have chosen not to enact all of the ACAââ¬â¢s provisions (Kaiser Commission, 2013). In this paper, I will look at health careâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Although North Carolina has chosen not to expand Medicaid, other provisions of the ACA still go into effect. The ACA will still increase insurance coverage because North Carolina residents who currently are eligible for Medicai d but are not currently on it will now have to sign up due to the mandate for nearly everyone to acquire insurance (Holahan, Buettgens, Carroll Dorn, 2012). The other advantage is a simplified Medicaid eligibility enrollment system and federal grants for navigators to help people with understanding health insurance options (Short, 2013). North Carolina residents will still see some benefits with the U.S. implementation of health care reform but not all of the proposed benefits. Economic Impact on North Carolina Health Care Organizations Even though North Carolina is not participating in the ACAââ¬â¢s Medicaid expansion, the ACA will have an effect on North Carolinaââ¬â¢s health care organizations. The United Statesââ¬â¢ national goal is to increase the number of people with health insurance in order to increase collective resources to pay for needed medical care (Short, 2013). This plan will not be able to be implemented as intended in North Carolina because of the stat e opting out of Medicaid expansion. Fractional Distillation Experiment Free Essays
In the experiment of distillation we separated two miscible liquids. The purpose of distillation is to identify and purify compounds. We began our experiment by setting up an apparatus for macroscale simple distillation. We will write a custom essay sample on Fractional Distillation Experiment or any similar topic only for you Order Now We used 60 ml of Cyclohexane/ Toluene. We began with the temperature at 50 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately, we reached an error when the compounds evaporated too rapidly. The compounds evaporated so quickly that we lost data from 2 ml to 13 ml. The heat was lowered and as a result we started to see a constant rate. From 14 ml to 18 ml it stayed at the rate of 90 degrees Celsius, from 19ml to 25 ml it was at 93 from 26ml to 38ml it stayed in the 90ââ¬â¢s for several minutes. When it reached the 50ml mark our temperature was at 108 degrees Celsius. Next we conducted the fractional distillation experiment. We tightly packed the fractionating column with a copper metal sponge, poured our mixture into the 100 ml flask and waited for the mixture to reach boiling point. The boiling point temperature started at 83 degrees Celsius we then decreased the temperature until we reached 25ml which was 82 degrees Celsius. Our results for the Toluene were 1. 4810 and 1. 4350 for the Cyclohexane. Unfortunately in the experiment for simple distillation, we reached an error when the compounds evaporated too rapidly. This was one source of error that disarrayed our data. The compounds evaporated so quickly that we lost data from 2 ml to 13 ml. Even though the data was not recorded it still was a successful experiment. This mistake has taught me to always keep a close eye on experiments no matter how slow the rate is. In the experiment of fractional distillation our results were reasonable but I believe that if we would have placed the aluminum foil around the fractionating column we could have minimized the temperature fluctuation during distillation.
